Synopsis:
Casey Williams and her family are poor. Her parents work non-stop and so does she, just so they can keep the trailer roof from leaking.
They’re getting by fine enough when the headaches start. Then there’s the nosebleeds. And the inevitable doctor’s bills.
Fortunately for Casey, there’s MyTrueMatch.com: an exclusive, quick, and almost easy way to pay it all back before her parents even have to know.
All she has to do is give a man she’s never met whatever he wants from her body.
Inside or out.

Mama’s Thoughts:
I knew as soon as I saw Neil Gaiman quoted within the front matter that I had picked up a winner.  However, I had no idea I would be so completely blown away it’d take me over a week to get my thoughts together enough to write a proper review.  Casey and Jonah are not your typical paranormal romance couple, let’s get that out of the way right now.  Without spoiling anything not covered in the blurb, you can tell this story has an unusual aspect to it, one of a young woman being in need and deciding to take things into her own hands, despite the dangers that may await.  There are few reads this short that have made me feel so strongly, but The Donor is not to be missed.  Your emotions will ride the waves alongside Casey as she tries to come to terms with what is happening to her and what will happen to her family.  And Jonah.  Talk about a rock and a hard place.  But I’ve said too much.  It’s difficult to express my deepest appreciation when it comes to books, but I hope you will pick up a copy and experience the beautiful story Nikki Rae has given the world.  Without a doubt this is a 5 star read!

    • I’ll give you three guesses 🙂
I’m with you though, I’m not sure if I’d have made her decision, you’ll have to read the book for details on what exactly she decided, but it wasn’t easy and ultimately I think she was pretty brave. Or impulsive. I dunno still figuring that out myself.
