Roswell. Area 51. The X-Files.
You’ve seen the aliens known as “the Greys” in movies and on T.V. But what if everything you think you know about them is wrong?
And what if the Greys are only the beginning?
Erika Holt dodged death and departed Earth in an alien ship. It wasn’t how she’d planned to spend her senior year. Is Erika on her way to paradise? Or to a hell worse than the underground lab she escaped?
The greys rescued Tex from the underground lab and promised him a life he could never have imagined. But what will he have to give up to become one with The Conexus?
Jack Wilson is still Commander Sturgis’ prisoner, but a promise of freedom comes from an unlikely source. Will his liberation cost more than he’s willing to pay?
On a nondescript planet on the far side of the galaxy, the M’Uktah have evolved from a wolf-like predatory creature into a highly advanced species that has mastered intergalactic travel. They are cultured. Refined.
As a fan of X-files and the Lux Chronicles, this was right up my alley. I mean, we’ve got aliens, half breeds, teens trying to do the right thing but being in the wrong place at the wrong time, and a secret government experiment that conspiracy theorists have tried to warn people about yet gone unheeded. The first book sets the pace and introduces us to H.A.L.F. 9 aka “Tex” as well as Ericka, Jack and Ian. We learn a bit about what’s to come in the next book, but let me tell you, there are plenty of surprises in store. WE still didn’t know the extent of the H.A.L.F.’s powers, nor what the greys were planning, and honestly, there are just as many new questions brought up in the second book as were answered by the story. These pages will fly by and for any scifi fan, you’ll recognize some icons along the way. Anytime it veers into the realm of campy the author pulls the reigns back enough to keep it fun but readable. Humorous at times and dark at others, young adult and adult fans alike will be able to enjoy this new series.
