Warrior (Relentless Book 4)
Author: Karen Lynch
Genre: YA Urban Fantasy

The warrior has finally met his match.
Nikolas Danshov is the Mohiri’s finest warrior, fearless and lethal with any weapon. For almost two hundred years, he has devoted his life to keeping humans safe from the demons that walk the earth. Revered by his people, he is a legend in his own time, a warrior undefeated in battle, and prepared for anything. Until her.
On a routine job in Maine, a twist of fate brings Nikolas face-to-face with the one person he had never expected to meet – his mate. Sara Grey is unlike anyone he’s ever met. Beautiful and fiery, she ignites his desire, while her innocence and vulnerability awaken a fierce protectiveness in him. Now all he can think of is keeping his mate safe from the dangers that hunt her, even if she fights him at every turn.
You know Sara’s story. Now read it again, through the eyes of her warrior.
Mama Says:
First of all, for anyone new to Karen Lynch and Relentless, stop reading this post and go get Book 1 for free.  Then read the other two books.  Then come back here 🙂 Warrior is very much a book for those who have read the entire trilogy, as this is Nikolas’ point of view (pov) of the events which transpired in all three installments.
However, this didn’t feel like hours of rehashing what I’d already read (two or more times.)  This was fresh, exciting and unique, giving us a glimpse at a very quiet, strong Mohiri who consistently thinks so little of himself that he gets tripped up by his lack of self awareness a time or two when it comes to Sara. As someone who has had the privilege of enjoying Sara’s story, it was such a treat to get into the head of one of our most loved characters.  Plus we got more Chris which is never going to make me sad.
Warrior is about trust, true strength, honor and love.  It’s the story of a man (erm, Mohiri) fighting for what he thinks is right, and learning that maybe there’s more to life than killing demons.  Though there is definitely some vamp killing y’all.
While there is violence, it’s inherent to the story and not gratuitous, and there’s no sexual content other than a brief scene of intense making out and not-described-enough-for-me hotness.  So it’s safe to say this is very much for teens and older but you won’t feel too bad if your 14 year old niece gets ahold of it.  Unless you disagree on who makes the better book boyfriend.  Can’t help that.
4.5 stars and my thanks to the author for the review opportunity!
Karen Lynch grew up in Newfoundland, Canada – a place rich in colorful people and folklore to which she attributes her love of the supernatural and her vivid imagination. She moved to Charlotte, North Carolina years ago and was immediately charmed by the southern people but she says she will always be a newfie.
Though she loves supernatural fiction, she has a soft spot for Charlotte Brontë and Jane Austin. She is a fan of classic rock, country and classical music but her favorite music is the sound of a good thunderstorm or a howling blizzard. Two of her favorite past times are baking artisan breads for her friends and spending quality time with her two German Shepherds.
Catch up on the rest of the series. Relentless (Book 1) is FREE!!!
